ProjectsForce Customer Release Notes – February 4, 2025
Exciting Updates and Enhancements
We’re excited to introduce several new features and improvements designed to enhance your experience with ProjectsForce. Our latest updates focus on improving usability, efficiency, and visibility across multiple aspects of project and service management.
Enhanced Company Configuration for Better Organization
To streamline navigation and usability, we have reorganized and grouped all available permissions and features under Company Configuration. This ensures better visibility and an improved user experience for managing company-wide settings.
Stronger Validation for Photos Before Job Completion
To ensure compliance and better documentation, we have introduced an update that enforces photo validation before job completion.
- Previously, we restricted job completion until mandatory EPA Lead details were filled.
- Now, Tenant Admins can opt-in to restrict job completion based on the number of photos technicians are required to upload.
- To enable this feature:
- Navigate to Scheduling & Assignment → Order Completion Validation and click Configure.
- Admins can define the Type and Category of jobs requiring photos, along with the expected number of images.
- The system will now prevent job completion across all sections (Quick Action, Project Edit, Project Docs, and Templates) until the required number of photos is uploaded.
New Quick Action: "Delivery Complete"
A new Quick Action button – "Delivery Complete" is being introduced.
- Similar to "Customer Confirmed" and "QA Complete", this button allows users to mark the delivery stage as completed.
- Clicking this button will:
- Add a Delivery Complete note to the project log.
- Capture who clicked the button and when.
- A new permission is required to use this action, which is not assigned by default.
- These Quick Action fields will also be available for widgets.
New Note Type: "Delivery"
We’ve added a new "Delivery" Note Type, making it easier for customers to document delivery-related details.
- View and Add Permissions: Granted to all users by default.
- Delete Permission: Limited to System Admins.
- This feature enables businesses to log delivery-specific notes efficiently.
Company Details Now Visible on Widgets
Company names from User Details are now exposed on widgets, allowing users to:
- Generate reports grouped by company.
- Filter progress reports by specific companies.
Customer Portal UI Enhancements
To improve the customer experience, we’ve introduced major UI changes to the End Customer Portal:
- The "Open Items" section has been removed from the dashboard, as it did not provide clear job linkage.
- Jobs with pending document signatures will now be:
- Highlighted and moved to the top of the Open Orders list.
- Displayed with the number of pending signature documents.
- Clicking on a highlighted job will show a direct link to the pending document for faster signature completion.
- Dashboard Look & Feel has been upgraded for a more intuitive experience.
Lowes - New "Refunded Quantity" Field in Project Items
A new “Refunded Quantity” field has been added for labor and product items.
- Backend services will now auto-check refunded quantities on job updates.
- If a refund exists, the field will display a default value of 0 and update accordingly.
- Highlighted in sky blue for better visibility when refunded quantity is greater than 0.
Rotate Photos Feature (Web & Mobile)
Users can now rotate photos directly on web and mobile platforms.
- Web: Rotate photos left or right and save the changes.
- Mobile: Users can rotate images for better visibility (saving functionality to be added in a future release).
Scheduler & Calendar UI Enhancements
We've made visual improvements to the Scheduler and Calendar for better job allocation clarity.
- Technician separator lines are now bolder.
- Alternate shading has been added to distinguish different technicians.
Web Push Notifications (Beta Mode)
Real-time push notifications for Notes, SMS, and Emails are now available in beta mode for web users.
- A blue toggle button has been added to the top header (enabled by default).
- Notifications are off by default but can be enabled under Profile Settings → Push Notifications.
- Users will receive real-time Store Notes, Installer Notes, SMS, and Emails with a preview and quick access to relevant jobs.
- Multi-Tenant Support: Users working with multiple tenants will receive notifications across tenants and can switch with permission before discarding unsaved changes.
Note: This feature is in Beta Mode. If issues arise, users can toggle it off and revert to the old communication center.
ProjectsForce Branding Icon Update
We are introducing a new brand icon across:
- Web portal
- End Customer Portal
- Mobile Apps
- Mobile Store Icons
The updated branding reflects our vision for ProjectsForce 360°.
Bug Fixes
We have resolved several key issues to enhance stability and functionality:

- Users can now successfully update Product and Labor statuses on mobile.
- Warehouse Value Wipe-Off Issue
- The selected warehouse value now remains saved after selection or update.
