📣 ProjectsForce 360 – Release Notes
Release Date: May 18, 2025

We’re excited to share the latest enhancements and new features rolling out across the ProjectsForce 360 platform. This release delivers powerful new tools, mobile upgrades, performance improvements, and critical bug fixes to streamline your day-to-day operations and improve usability across web and mobile.

🚀 New Features

📹 Upload Videos to Projects (Paid Add-On)
You can now upload and store job site videos directly within your Projects. This new feature is available on both web and mobile and enhances your ability to document job progress or site conditions.

  • Uploaded videos appear in the newly renamed Photos / Videos tab.

  • Videos are uploaded one at a time with a visible progress bar and confirmation message.

  • Reach out to support to enable this paid feature and learn more about pricing tiers.
Note: To cancel or delete uploaded video data, contact support.

🔐 Mobile Biometrics Login
Users can now log in using biometrics (Face ID, fingerprint, PIN, or pattern) based on their device settings.

  • A prompt appears upon first login after update—users can enable or skip.

  • Once enabled, login is secured for 90 days without re-entering credentials.

  • Users can enable biometrics later from the Profile page if skipped.

  • Supports both iOS and Android biometric settings.
Note: After 5 failed login attempts, the system locks access for 30 seconds.

Once user clicks on Yes, system would by default consider the configuration and preference set by user on the device and from the next time user don’t have to enter the credentials on the login page, rather simply use the configured biometrics to get the access of the ProjectsForce application. Considering the security aspect, until next 90 days user would not be prompted to enter the credentials again.

If user choose No for now, then user has to continue entering the credentials on the login page and still has an option to enable the biometrics later on the Profile page as highlighted.

If user clicks on Yes to enable biometrics but is not configured at the device level, user would see below screen to configure the biometrics in the Mobile settings

User would have the same experience for the configured option to enter the Pin or draw a pattern or use fingerprints or Face Recognition.

If user clicks cancel on the Biometrics screen then below screen would be shown and in case the configured biometrics options are not eligible or being validated due to any reason user can still choose an option to Go to Login to continue the legacy flow of entering the credentials on the login screen.

Note: If user enters wrong credentials for the 5 times, system would lock the device for 30 seconds or as configured by the platform (IOS / Android).

🖼️ Upload Images on Templates and Project Documents
Users can now upload and stamp images directly onto PDF templates and documents from the web portal.

  • Resize and position images as needed.

  • Available on Project Templates and Project Documents.

📱 Mobile – Download Photos & Documents
Download project-related content—photos, documents, and templates—directly to your mobile device.

  • Works both online and offline.

  • Available on both iOS and Android.

📦 Product Items – PO & ETA Fields
New fields added for better tracking of product logistics:

  • Item PO Number (text input)

  • Item ETA (present or future date)
Available when adding products to a job and viewable on widgets.

🔢 Private Project Numbers Across Multiple Sources
Project Number customization now supports multiple sources.

  • Admins can apply custom project number sequences to more than one job source.
Note: If a number in the sequence is already in use, it will be skipped.

👤 Display Scheduled Technician as a Card
Admins can now display the Scheduled Technician table as a card on custom Project layouts—no need for a separate tab.

  • Also includes an optional Installation Address Map card.
Note: Technician table can be added only once—either as a card or tab.

🛑 Pending Cancel Action Button
A new permission-based action button: Pending Cancel

  • When used, the job status is updated to On Hold – Pending Cancel.

  • By default, this permission is not assigned to any roles.

📱 Mobile – PO # and Delivery Type Fields
PO Number and Delivery Type fields are now available in mobile:

  • Shown on dashboard cards and under Project > Project Items.

  • Improves technician job tracking and visibility.

⚡ Performance Enhancements

⚙️ Lazy Loading for Faster Load Times
We’ve optimized loading for core modules using lazy loading.

  • Modules load as needed, speeding up the user experience.

  • You may notice new skeleton loaders during loading.

🧑‍💼 UX Upgrade – Availability Updates Page
The Personnel > Availability Updates module has a refreshed design for better usability.

🏬 UX Upgrade – Store Module
We’ve upgraded the layout of the Store module for improved performance and clarity.

🧩 Other Enhancements

🔗 Parent/Child Labeling on Linked Projects
For clients using the Project Linkage feature:

  • Projects now display a clear Parent or Child label in the blue bar for better tracking.

🗺️ Remove ‘Support Requested’ Jobs from Scheduler Map
Jobs marked as Support Requested will no longer show as pins on the Scheduler Map.

📱 Mobile – Expand Project Description in Pop-Up
If the Project description is long, a Show More option will now display a full-screen pop-up for easier reading.

🐞 Bug Fixes

  • Duplicate Tech Assignment: Prevents assigning more than one "Schedule-type" technician to the same job.

  • EPA Lead Validation (Offline Mode): EPA validation now syncs properly between online and offline modes.

  • Inactive Technicians: Auto-assignment no longer considers inactive technicians.

  • Checklist Version Gaps: Fixed issue where deleting a checklist version blocked new checklist creation.

  • Multi-Edit Credential Tab Errors: Resolved errors when editing multiple user records in User Management > Credentials.

NEW: Auto Scheduling Now Available in the Web Portal

We’ve expanded our popular Online Customer Scheduling feature—originally available in the customer portal—to the ProjectsForce 360 web interface. Now, your team can instantly view available dates and time slots when scheduling projects, using the same intelligent logic that considers technician availability, coverage areas, work schedules, time off, job caps, and more.

How it works:

  • Contact support to enable this feature.

  • Admins will gain access to a new “Schedule Now” permission.

  • A “Schedule Now” button will appear on each project.

  • One click opens a list of eligible dates and time slots.

  • Select a slot to auto-schedule the job—no manual checking or guesswork.

This streamlines scheduling during customer interactions, saving time and boosting efficiency.

📦 Inventory Enhancements

We’ve made managing inventory faster and more flexible:

Item Master Updates:

  • Category Field: Dynamically create or assign item categories.

  • Stock Toggle: Identify stocked vs. non-stocked items in one click.

Warehouse Stock Updates:

  • Enhanced item tracking with added fields:

    • PO Number

    • Customer Name

    • Stock Indicator

    • Category

    • Adjustment Type

    • Adjustment Date

New Functionalities:

  • Advanced filters to search and manage inventory faster.

  • Download Button: Export data to Excel for offline ops.

  • Pagination extended to 500 records for high-volume visibility.

📄 Set Default Document Status (Web & Mobile)

Avoid repetitive dropdown selections. Admins can now configure a Default Document Status per template (e.g., Internal, External) directly in the Document Center. Once set:

  • That status auto-populates each time a user adds the document to a project.

  • Users can still manually change it if needed.

📝 Set Default Note Type (Web & Mobile)

Admins can now define a default note type for projects via Company Configuration → Project Management. Once set:

  • All users will see this note type pre-selected by default when adding notes.

  • Reduces clicks and improves consistency across the platform.

📊 New Fields Available for Reporting Widgets

We’ve exposed new fields in table-based widgets to help with financial and job tracking:

  • Mark All as Finance Reviewed

  • Mark All as Paid

  • Technician Arrival Start Time

  • Technician Arrival End Time

Use these to enhance dashboards and operational visibility.

🧹 Legacy Module Cleanup

We’re retiring outdated versions of several features, as customers have fully adopted newer, stable replacements. The following modules will be removed:

  • Activities Tab

  • Issues Tab

  • Old Project Items

  • Old Related POs

  • Site Inspection

  • Old Time Management

  • Legacy Scheduler

  • Pull-Down Notifications (push notifications will remain)

If you experience any issues, contact support.

📱 Mobile Updates

New: In-Progress Job Status

  • Mobile users can now mark jobs as In-Progress, just like on the web.

  • “Not able to complete” has been renamed to Not Able To Complete for clarity.

Digital Badge In-App Display

  • Digital ID Badges now open directly within the mobile app—no browser redirect required.

🛠️ Bug Fixes

Customer Portal – Online Scheduling:

  • Fixed an issue where technicians with block time or partial time off were being skipped entirely. Now, they’ll be considered for scheduling outside their unavailable hours.

If you have questions or need support enabling any of these features, reach out to your ProjectsForce 360 Account Manager or contact our Support Team.

ProjectsForce 360 • April 20, 2025 Release Notes

We’re excited to announce a host of new features and enhancements designed to give you more flexibility, improve your mobile experience, and streamline your workflows. Read on to learn what’s new—and how to get started.

🚀 Project Details: Fully Customizable Layouts

What’s changing?

  • Custom Layout under Visual Enhancements lets Tenant Admins design their own Project Details page.

  • Create multiple cards to group fields, name them, and position them above or below tabs.

  • Rearrange tabs, hide unwanted fields, resize cards, and mark cards read‑only for specific roles.

  • Assign one or more layouts to user roles via the gear icon in User Management.

Getting started:

  1. Go to Admin > Visual Enhancements > Custom Layout.

  2. Build and save your layouts.

  3. In User Management, click the gear icon next to a role and select the layout(s) that role should see.

📱 Mobile App (Android): Technical Upgrade & Dashboard Drag‑and‑Drop

Highlights:

  • New Android version with core technical upgrades for faster, more reliable performance.

  • Dashboard cards can now be rearranged via drag‑and‑drop—just like on iOS!

Roll‑out plan:

  • Optional release on Saturday morning for users with auto‑update enabled.

  • Mandatory update by Monday morning for all users.

  • You’ll receive an in‑app prompt—please update your app via the Google Play Store.

  • If you see a blank screen or cannot log in, uninstall and reinstall the latest version; you’ll be prompted to sign in again.

🔄 Rotation Percentage by Store

Enhancement:

  • Define technicians’ rotation percentages not only by work type and category, but now per store.

  • When jobs are pulled or created, the system identifies eligible technicians by type, category, and store, then assigns work proportionally.

🤝 Auto Technician Assignment Improvements

  1. Job Assignment Coverage

    • New option under Auto Assignment selects technicians based on unique “coverage” tags.

    • Admins must ensure each coverage combination maps to only one user—any duplicates will trigger an alert until resolved.

  2. Tech Based on Related PO

    • Check this box to assign installation jobs to the same technician who completed the measurement (and vice versa).

    • Falls back to your selected assignment method if no related PO is found.

🗺️ Map View: Independent Menu & Unified Filters

  • Maps is now its own permissioned submenu under Projects—grant access via role permissions.

  • The Map menu and the scheduler’s Maps tab now share the same Global Filters, so you set them once and they apply everywhere.

✅ Project Task Indicator & Close‑Task Permission

  • New Close Tasks permission lets users mark any task complete, even if they didn’t create or own it.

  • Projects with open tasks display an “Open Tasks” indicator in the top bar—once all tasks are closed, the indicator disappears.

🔗 Linking Blinds Jobs as Parent/Child POs

  • For jobs from the Blinds.com portal and Home Depot Service Center, the system now automatically links matching projects as parent and child POs (matched by com_order_number and project_number).

  • To enable for your tenant, please contact our Support team.

➡️ Automatic Lead Creation for F&I Pro Measurement POs

  • All Home Depot Service Center (Pro Sales PO) measure jobs now auto‑generate a Lead under the customer’s Leads tab—just like standard Home Depot leads.

  • To enable for your tenant, please contact our Support team.

⏱️ Project Time Management: New Milestone Fields

Under the Time Management tab in Project Details, you’ll now see three static and calculated fields to track scheduling performance:

  1. First RTS Date – the first date your order reached Ready to Schedule (never changes).

  2. Duration WFP → RTS – days between Waiting for Product and first RTS (static).

  3. Duration RTS → Scheduled – days from first RTS to Scheduled, recalculated if you change the scheduled date.

These fields are also available in your widgets for easy monitoring.

📌 CRM: Capture Multiple Addresses for a Client

ProjectsForce Release Notes – New Feature Enhancements & Fixes

We are excited to introduce a series of powerful enhancements and fixes to ProjectsForce, designed to improve customization, reporting, scheduling, and overall user experience. These updates provide greater flexibility, better data visibility, and a smoother workflow for managing projects.

🚀 New Features & Enhancements

Custom Audit Log Reports with EPA Lead Details

ProjectsForce now allows company administrators to create customized audit log reports, providing deeper insights into project activities, technician details, and compliance with EPA regulations.

New Enhancements:

  • A new Audit Log menu is now available under Company Configuration > Additional Features > Project Management & Linkage.
  • Administrators can create, edit, or delete multiple custom audit reports.
  • Reports can include specific columns from two modules:
    • Project Details
    • Project Technicians
  • Users can adjust column positions and update data dynamically, ensuring real-time reflection of changes.
  • EPA Lead Compliance: Additional fields related to EPA compliance, including lead test results and lead-certified technicians, are now available.

📑 Lead Owner (Salesperson) Details on Quote Preview

To improve customer communication, CRM Quotes now display lead owner (salesperson) contact details on the Quote Preview, replacing generic company-level footer information. This allows customers to directly contact the assigned sales representative for assistance.

💰 Quote Calculation Enhancement – Revenue Amount from Item Master

A major enhancement to CRM Quotes ensures that revenue calculations now automatically pull values from the Item Master instead of relying on manually entered retail prices. This improvement enhances accuracy and consistency in financial calculations.

🛠️ Capture Multiple EPA Lead Test Results

  • Users can now log multiple EPA lead test results within the EPA Lead Tab.
  • Each test entry captures:
    • Test Result (Positive/Negative)
    • Kit Manufacturer
    • Location Tested
  • For Lowes Jobs, if multiple tests are conducted, these details will be automatically transmitted via API integration.

📅 Project-Level Schedule Date Removal on Technician Deletion

  • If a schedule-type technician is removed, the Schedule Start and End Dates will now also be cleared at the Project Level.
  • Previously, only technician-level details were removed while project-level dates remained, causing inconsistencies.

👷 Technician Assignment Rules for Hidden Line Items

  • If a line item is marked “Hide from All Technicians”, the system will no longer assign a technician to that item.
  • If an item already has an assigned technician and is later set to “Hide from All Technicians”, the system will:
    • Remove the assigned technician
    • Exclude labor cost calculations for that item.

🔍 Improved Project Description Readability

A new hover pop-up is now available for project descriptions, ensuring that users can read full details even when the text exceeds available space.

📱 Restrict Document Templates from Mobile View

A new setting allows admins to restrict specific document templates from appearing on mobile devices.

  • A new “Hide from Mobile View” checkbox is available for all document templates.
  • If enabled, technicians will not see the document on their mobile devices.
  • Admins can still override this restriction for specific jobs using the “Visible to Technicians” option.

🎨 UI & Performance Upgrades

Phase 1 of our UI enhancements is now live, improving user experience and system performance in key areas:

  • Billing Tab
  • Email Tab
  • SMS Tab
  • Issues Tab
  • Activities Tab
  • Time Management Tab

🐞 Bug Fixes & System Improvements

⚠️ Multiple Confirmation Popups

  • Resolved an issue where users encountered duplicate confirmation popups in User Management, Project Details, and various other screens.

❌ Improved User Experience for Discarding Changes vs. Deleting Rows

  • The “X” (Close) icon will now discard changes instead of deleting an item.
  • The Trash icon will now be used exclusively for deleting items, with a confirmation prompt.

📆 Project Schedule Dates No Longer Update from Tentative Technician Edits

  • When users modify tentative schedule dates for a technician, the project-level Schedule Start and End Dates will no longer be updated automatically.

📝 Notes Pop-Up Now Closes Properly

  • Fixed a bug where the notes pop-up remained open when switching between multiple notes.

📸 Preventing Photo Overwrite for Identical File Names

  • Previously, photos uploaded with the same name were being overwritten.
  • The system now automatically appends a timestamp to prevent file conflicts.

Due to committments we made with regard to delivering a few features we are releasing a ad hoc release off cycle tomorrow Tuesday February 11.

ProjectsForce Release Notes – Auto Assignment of Technicians & Enhanced Dashboard Features

Auto Assignment of Technicians

We are excited to introduce the Auto Assign Technician feature, designed to streamline technician assignment and improve efficiency. With this enhancement, ProjectsForce will automatically assign technicians to new jobs as soon as they are pulled from integrated sources.

How It Works

  • When a new job is created, the system will automatically assign a technician with a work type of Assigned and allocate them to the job's line items with 100% allocation.
  • For private jobs created through the web portal, a technician will be auto-assigned to the job, but without automatic allocation to line items.

How to Enable Auto Assignment

To activate this feature:

  1. Navigate to Company ConfigurationScheduling & Assignment.

  2. Enable Auto Assign Technicians.

  3. Select one of the following assignment criteria:

    • Default Store Technician: The system will check the store linked to the job and assign the default technician defined at the store level.
    • Rotation Percentage: The system will allocate jobs based on predefined rotation percentages assigned to technicians in their user management settings.

Admin Setup Requirements

  • Ensure that each technician has proper job assignment coverage.
  • Define rotation percentages for all applicable technicians, ensuring the total sums to 100%. This can be split among multiple users.
  • Auto job assignment applies only when the type and category combination reaches 100% coverage.

Job Assignment Distribution Logic

When new jobs are received, the system will:

  1. Validate the job's type, category, and store/district.
  2. Identify technicians matching the criteria.
  3. Assign jobs based on the rotation percentage, dividing the number by 10 to determine job distribution.

Example:

  • Technician A: 40%
  • Technician B: 30%
  • Technician C: 20%
  • Technician D: 10%

With this distribution, the first 4 jobs will go to Technician A, the next 3 to Technician B, the next 2 to Technician C, and the last 1 to Technician D. Once the sequence completes, the system resets and repeats.

Important Notes on Auto Assignment

  • Impact on RO and CX Scheduling: Previously, unassigned technicians were considered for all projects. Now, only technicians with assigned job coverage will be included in CX Scheduling and RO modules.
  • If job assignment rotation drops below 100%, technicians with remaining rotation percentages will also be affected and may not be suggested for auto-assignment.
  • Non-Technicians (users without the installer role) may also be considered for job assignment, but in CX Scheduling, only technicians with installer permissions will be eligible.

Set Default Dashboard Functionality

We are introducing a new feature allowing users to set their default dashboard for a more personalized experience.

How It Works

  • Users can access the list of available dashboards by clicking the Add button on the dashboard bar.
  • Any dashboard can be set as the default by selecting the checkbox next to it.
  • After a browser refresh or upon next login, the selected default dashboard will always load first, eliminating unnecessary navigation clicks.

Additional Improvement:
Users can now rearrange the order of dashboards for a more customized viewing experience.

Global Filters Notification on Dashboards

To improve user experience, ProjectsForce now provides notifications for applied global filters on dashboards.

Key Updates

  • If global filters are applied (e.g., on Scheduler or Calendar), a notification banner will appear at the top of the dashboard.
  • A quick preview of active filters will be displayed and will auto-close after a few seconds.
  • This feature helps users stay aware of applied filters and allows easy removal if needed.

Scheduler & Calendar Enhancements

We have made performance improvements and UI enhancements to the Scheduler and Calendar for better usability.

Key Updates:

  • Optimized performance for faster loading times.
  • Improved pop-ups for better readability.
  • A cleaner and more intuitive design.

Company Configuration Enhancements

To improve usability, we have made the following updates to Company Configuration:

  • Basic Details has been renamed to Company Details.
  • Personalized Private Project Numbers has moved from User Access & Security to the Company Details tab.

Install Address Copy Functionality

We’ve made it easier to copy and paste installation addresses within ProjectsForce.

New Updates

  • The Installation Address field, previously located at the bottom of the Project Details page, has been moved to the top for better visibility.
  • The address is now consolidated into a single field with a copy button, allowing for easy duplication and pasting.

Conclusion

These updates are part of our ongoing commitment to streamlining operations, enhancing efficiency, and improving user experience. We value your feedback and look forward to hearing how these enhancements improve your workflow.

Exciting Updates and Enhancements

Please note there will be a mobile app update with this release

We’re excited to introduce several new features and improvements designed to enhance your experience with ProjectsForce. Our latest updates focus on improving usability, efficiency, and visibility across multiple aspects of project and service management.

Enhanced Company Configuration for Better Organization

To streamline navigation and usability, we have reorganized and grouped all available permissions and features under Company Configuration. This ensures better visibility and an improved user experience for managing company-wide settings.

Stronger Validation for Photos Before Job Completion

To ensure compliance and better documentation, we have introduced an update that enforces photo validation before job completion.

  • Previously, we restricted job completion until mandatory EPA Lead details were filled.
  • Now, Tenant Admins can opt-in to restrict job completion based on the number of photos technicians are required to upload.
  • To enable this feature:
    • Navigate to Scheduling & Assignment → Order Completion Validation and click Configure.
    • Admins can define the Type and Category of jobs requiring photos, along with the expected number of images.
    • The system will now prevent job completion across all sections (Quick Action, Project Edit, Project Docs, and Templates) until the required number of photos is uploaded.

New Quick Action: "Delivery Complete"

A new Quick Action button – "Delivery Complete" is being introduced.

  • Similar to "Customer Confirmed" and "QA Complete", this button allows users to mark the delivery stage as completed.
  • Clicking this button will:
    • Add a Delivery Complete note to the project log.
    • Capture who clicked the button and when.
  • new permission is required to use this action, which is not assigned by default.
  • These Quick Action fields will also be available for widgets.

New Note Type: "Delivery"

We’ve added a new "Delivery" Note Type, making it easier for customers to document delivery-related details.

  • View and Add Permissions: Granted to all users by default.
  • Delete Permission: Limited to System Admins.
  • This feature enables businesses to log delivery-specific notes efficiently.

Company Details Now Visible on Widgets

Company names from User Details are now exposed on widgets, allowing users to:

  • Generate reports grouped by company.
  • Filter progress reports by specific companies.

Customer Portal UI Enhancements

To improve the customer experience, we’ve introduced major UI changes to the End Customer Portal:

  • The "Open Items" section has been removed from the dashboard, as it did not provide clear job linkage.
  • Jobs with pending document signatures will now be:
    • Highlighted and moved to the top of the Open Orders list.
    • Displayed with the number of pending signature documents.
    • Clicking on a highlighted job will show a direct link to the pending document for faster signature completion.
  • Dashboard Look & Feel has been upgraded for a more intuitive experience.

Lowes - New "Refunded Quantity" Field in Project Items

A new “Refunded Quantity” field has been added for labor and product items.

  • Backend services will now auto-check refunded quantities on job updates.
  • If a refund exists, the field will display a default value of 0 and update accordingly.
  • Highlighted in sky blue for better visibility when refunded quantity is greater than 0.

Rotate Photos Feature (Web & Mobile)

Users can now rotate photos directly on web and mobile platforms.

  • Web: Rotate photos left or right and save the changes.
  • Mobile: Users can rotate images for better visibility (saving functionality to be added in a future release).

Scheduler & Calendar UI Enhancements

We've made visual improvements to the Scheduler and Calendar for better job allocation clarity.

  • Technician separator lines are now bolder.
  • Alternate shading has been added to distinguish different technicians.

Web Push Notifications (Beta Mode)

Real-time push notifications for Notes, SMS, and Emails are now available in beta mode for web users.

  • blue toggle button has been added to the top header (enabled by default).
  • Notifications are off by default but can be enabled under Profile Settings → Push Notifications.
  • Users will receive real-time Store Notes, Installer Notes, SMS, and Emails with a preview and quick access to relevant jobs.
  • Multi-Tenant Support: Users working with multiple tenants will receive notifications across tenants and can switch with permission before discarding unsaved changes.

Note: This feature is in Beta Mode. If issues arise, users can toggle it off and revert to the old communication center.
